BEMER-

Microcirculation Technology

Learn about BEMER, a technology designed to support microcirculation through a specific pulsed electromagnetic field signal. Explore how the technology works, what published research has investigated, and the available product options.

What Is BEMER?

BEMER is a physical vascular therapy technology designed to support microcirculation using a specific low-intensity pulsed electromagnetic field signal.

Microcirculation refers to blood flow through the smallest blood vessels, where oxygen and nutrients are delivered to tissues and waste products are carried away.

Microcirculation: The Missing Piece in Understanding Your Health?

Have you ever thought about the tiny blood vessels working throughout your body every minute of every day?

Most of us know that our heart pumps blood through our arteries and veins. But what happens when that blood reaches the smallest vessels in our body?

That's where microcirculation comes in.

What Is Microcirculation?

Microcirculation is the flow of blood through the smallest blood vessels in our body. These vessels deliver oxygen and nutrients to our tissues and help carry away carbon dioxide and other metabolic waste products.

Think of them as the delivery system that helps keep our cells supplied with what they need.

We can have a healthy heart pumping blood, but the delivery of that blood to individual tissues also matters.

What Is Vasomotion-and Why Does It Matter?

Here's where it gets interesting!

Our small blood vessels, particularly the arterioles, have the ability to rhythmically change their diameter. This activity is called vasomotion.

You can think of it as part of the body's natural system for regulating local blood flow. These rhythmic changes help coordinate how blood moves through the microcirculation and how tissues receive their blood supply.

Research suggests that aging can affect the structure and responsiveness of these small vessels. Illness can also disrupt microcirculatory function.

When this system isn't functioning as well as it should, the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to tissues may be affected.

In 2019, a paper published in Aging and Disease proposed a Microcirculatory Theory of Aging, exploring the idea that progressive impairment of microcirculation may contribute to aging.

It's a fascinating area of research- and one that deserves more attention.

So What Can We Do About It?

This is one of the reasons I became interested in BEMER.

BEMER uses a specific low-intensity pulsed electromagnetic field signal designed to stimulate the body's microcirculatory pumping mechanism.

The idea is to work with the body's own physiological processes rather than introduce a drug or a foreign substance.

BEMER has been investigated in different research settings, including studies involving elite athletes and critically ill patients. These studies examine different outcomes, and the findings don't mean that everyone will experience the same results. But they contribute to the ongoing research into microcirculation and how it may be influenced.

Why Should This Matter to the Rest of Us?

Most of us aren't elite athletes, and most of us aren't critically ill. We're somewhere in between, going about our lives and hoping to maintain our energy, activity, and quality of life as we age.

That's why I believe understanding microcirculation is worth our attention.

My background in chemistry, biology, and quality assurance has always made me curious about how things work. I want to understand the science, look at the research, and help people make informed decisions.

If you're curious about BEMER, I invite you to explore the technology, read the available research, and ask questions.

Sometimes, understanding the body's own systems is a great place to start.

How Does BEMER Work?

BEMER devices deliver a patented defined electromagnetic signal intended to stimulate the body's microcirculatory pumping mechanism. Researchers have studied its effects on microcirculation and related physiological outcomes.

How Does BEMER Work?

1. A specific patented signal is generated.

The BEMER control unit generates a specific, patented electromagnetic signal.

2. The signal is inductively delivered to the body- horses, humans or dogs!

The signal is delivered through the applicator during a short five or eight-minute session (animal dependent).

3. Smooth muscle activity in the microcirculation is stimulated.

The smooth muscles in the arterioles and venules of the microcirculation are reactivated. Their rhythmic contraction and relaxation is called vasomotion and plays an important role in regulating microcirculation.

4. The effects continue after the session.

The effects of the BEMER signal on the body's microcirculation are reported to last for 12–18 hours following an eight-minute session.

See the Impact BEMER has on blood flow in just one 8 minute session!

BrainTap

The perfect blend of sound, music, spoken word, and light for brainwave training and relaxation.

BrainTap’s proprietary neuro-algorithm produces brainwave entrainment – the synchronization of brainwaves to a specialized sound – with no added effort. These sounds create full-spectrum brainwave activity (neuro-activity), a matrix that BrainTap uses to maximize its impact on neuroplasticity.

I Thought Walking in the Woods Was My Meditation. Then I Discovered BrainTap.

You know meditation is good for you. But what if you're not very good at doing it?

We've all heard about the benefits of meditation. It can be a wonderful way to slow down, quiet the noise of everyday life, and make time for yourself.

But here's a question: How many of us actually do it consistently?

I've known for years that meditation can be beneficial. I just wasn't very good at it!

I'd sit down, close my eyes, and try to quiet my mind. Before long, I was thinking about my to-do list, something I needed to remember, or what I was going to do next.

So I came up with my own version of meditation.

Walking in the woods.

Being outside, surrounded by trees, listening to the birds, and taking in the beauty around me has always helped me slow down and feel more present. I still love it, and I believe there's something special about spending time in nature.

But then I discovered BrainTap.

What If You Didn't Have to Figure Out Meditation on Your Own?

I learned about BrainTap almost by chance. Since I already understood that meditation and relaxation practices could be valuable, I was curious enough to give it a try.

I discovered a technology that combines guided audio experiences with synchronized light pulses through a headset. Instead of trying to figure out what to think about—or how to stop thinking altogether—I could simply put on the headset, listen, and follow the guided experience.

For someone who had always struggled with traditional meditation, that was an entirely different experience.

BrainTap sessions are designed to guide you through a structured experience using audio, visualization, and light stimulation. You don't have to sit there wondering whether you're doing it correctly.

You just begin.

Why Guided Experiences Can Make a Difference

Meditation isn't one single practice. Some approaches involve focusing on your breathing, some use guided imagery, and others encourage you to observe your thoughts without getting caught up in them.

Guided experiences can provide structure for people who find it difficult to settle into a practice on their own.

BrainTap offers guided sessions designed around different goals and experiences. The headset incorporates light pulses alongside the audio, making it different from simply listening to a meditation recording.

Individual experiences vary, and research on specific BrainTap outcomes is still important to consider. But you don't have to be an experienced meditator to explore whether a guided session works for you.

And What About My Walks in the Woods?

I'm not giving those up!

Walking outdoors gives me movement, fresh air, contact with nature, and a chance to step away from the demands of daily life. Those are valuable things in their own right.

BrainTap offers a different kind of experience: dedicated time to sit back, listen, and follow a guided session.

I don't think one needs to replace the other. For me, they can complement each other.

My walks in the woods are still part of my version of wellness. Now, I've also discovered another way to make time for myself.

Could BrainTap Be Worth Exploring for You?

If you've ever thought, I know meditation could be good for me, but I just can't seem to do it, you're not alone.

You don't need to be an expert at meditation to explore guided relaxation experiences. You can start by trying a session and deciding for yourself how you feel about the experience.

That's what I did—and I'm glad I was willing to try something new.

Curious about BrainTap?

I'd love to tell you more about the technology, explain what a session involves, and help you explore whether it's something you'd like to experience.

NeuralChek

Technology that gives you real-time insight into the activity of your autonomic nervous system, measure your Heart Rate Variability (HRV) in just minutes to give you a clear picture of how your body is recovering, adapting to stress, and responding to the demands of everyday life.

I'm a Science Geek. I Like Numbers. And I Want to Understand My Body.

What if you could see how your everyday choices affect your body's response to stress?

I'll admit it. I'm a bit of a science geek.

I've always liked numbers, enjoyed research, and wanted to understand why things happen-not just accept that they do. My background in chemistry, biology, and quality assurance probably has something to do with that!

My journey into wellness technology began when I saw changes in my son's glucose readings that got my attention while I was learning about BEMER. Seeing numbers change gave me something tangible to investigate. It connected what I was learning with something I could actually observe.

That experience helped me appreciate the value of measuring, asking questions, and looking for patterns.

So when I learned about NeuralChek Go and its ability to assess heart rate variability (HRV) and provide a report related to the body's response to stress, I was intrigued.

Finally, a way to explore some of the things I had been curious about!

What Is NeuralChek?

NeuralChek is a wellness assessment technology that measures heart rate variability (HRV) and presents information in a report designed to help people better understand aspects of their physiological response to stress.

HRV refers to the natural variation in time between consecutive heartbeats. It is one measure researchers use to study the autonomic nervous system, which helps regulate functions such as heart rate and the body's responses to changing demands.

HRV isn't a grade, and there isn't one perfect number that everyone should aim for. Readings can be influenced by many factors, including sleep, physical activity, stress, and the conditions under which a measurement is taken.

That's why I find the opportunity to look at patterns and learn more about my own responses so interesting.

What I Love Most: Seeing the Bigger Picture

Here's where NeuralChek becomes especially interesting to me.

I can explore how my body responds in connection with the things I do. How am I sleeping? How am I managing the demands of my day? What happens when I make time for relaxation or try a wellness technology?

I'm particularly interested in exploring my experiences with both BEMER and BrainTap.

BEMER is designed to temporarily enhance local blood circulation. BrainTap offers guided audio experiences combined with light stimulation. They are different technologies with different purposes, and NeuralChek provides another way to explore physiological measurements and personal wellness patterns.

I find it fascinating to ask questions, observe what changes, and learn from the results.

Of course, a change in a reading doesn't automatically prove that a particular activity or technology caused it.

Many factors can influence HRV, and repeated measurements under similar conditions are more useful than drawing conclusions from a single reading.

For me, that doesn't make the process less interesting. It makes the opportunity to learn even more valuable.

It's About Awareness, Not Perfect Numbers

NeuralChek isn't about chasing perfect numbers. It's about building awareness- learning what your body is communicating and developing the self-knowledge to make smarter choices every day.

I don't believe one measurement tells the whole story of a person's health. But I do believe that learning more, asking better questions, and paying attention to patterns can help us make more informed decisions about our wellness.

That is what appeals to the science geek in me.

I'm not looking for a magic number. I'm looking for information that helps me ask better questions and make thoughtful choices.
